Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Application Specialist to support and manage healthcare applications within our organization in Qatar. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and enhancement of critical clinical systems while providing technical support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the performance and availability of healthcare applications such as Akhil Miracle HIS, PACS, and LIS.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure system availability and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Enhance and optimize clinical application functionality.
  • Provide technical support to doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
  • Conduct user training sessions on healthcare systems.
  • Ensure timely troubleshooting and resolution of system issues.
  • Test and deploy system updates and configuration changes in coordination with IT and clinical teams.
  • Coordinate integration with medical devices and diagnostic systems.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents affecting patient care.
  • Ensure adherence to data security protocols and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Assist users in generating reports and data outputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of experience in healthcare IT systems (HIS, PACS, LIS preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards (HL7, integrations, data security).
  • Excellent communication and user support skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a clinical environment.

Visa & Employment Details:

  • Employer will provide work visa if the candidate is applying from outside Qatar.
  • Candidates currently in Qatar with transferable visa are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Akhil Miracle HIS or similar hospital systems
  • Experience in hospital or clinical environment in Qatar or GCC
  • Knowledge of medical device integration

Ms. Wazne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Lebanese American University in 2011 . She completed her Masters degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the Lebanese University. Ms. Wazne has worked at the American University of Beirut Medical Center for more than ten years. Ms. Wazne has given a variety of oral presentations to nurses, and pharmacists on local and national level . She has been certified from Harvard Medical School in Immuno-oncology and Cancer Genomics. She is an active member in the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon. Her professional interests include medication safety and research.

Scope of practice

Sirine Abou Al Hassan is a US. registered clinical dietitian with extensive experience in nutritional management of chronic and diet-related diseases. Previously, Sirine worked as clinical dietitian specialized in obesity weight management, Child and Maternal Health and Eating Disorders. She graduated from University College London with a masters of science in Clinical Nutrition and Eating Disorders; Following on from a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics-Coordinated Program from the American University of Beirut, both with distinction
