Overview

Vision correction surgery, also known as refractive or laser eye surgery, is related to any surgical procedure used to repair vision problems. Refractive and laser eye surgery allow many patients to see better than ever.
For those individuals with high degrees of myopia but cannot have laser correction or are too young for cataract surgery, informed consent, when applicable, will be given for phakic lens implantation, a surgery in which a special intraocular lens is added inside the eye to get rid of thick glasses or longstanding contact lens wear.
