Job Summary
Aman Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmology Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmic nursing, experience with eye care procedures, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist ophthalmologists in routine exams, diagnostic procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Educate patients on medication management, follow-up care, and preventative eye health.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for potential side effects or complications.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participate in continuous education and training on new ophthalmic practices and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Nursing License from an accredited body, with eligibility for licensing in Qatar.
- 2+ years of experience in an ophthalmology or related nursing field preferred.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, instruments, and medications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with patients.
- Proficient in patient documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
