**Job Summary:**
The Pharmacy Cashier handles customer transactions, delivers excellent customer service, adheres to cash handling policies, and collaborates with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to meet patient needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Provide friendly customer service at prescription drop-off and pick-up counters.
– Operate and balance the cash register; process cash/credit transactions.
– Verify patient data, billing information, and insurance eligibility.
– Process payments, return exact change, and issue receipts accurately.
– Handle billing issues and refer patients to pharmacists for medical information.
– Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at checkout areas.
**Direct Sale/Outside Prescriptions:**
– Register patients in HIS and manage related documentation.
– Verify insurance details and choose the correct plan in HIS.
**Information Service:**
– Act as an ambassador for the Pharmacy Department, addressing pharmacy issues and providing relevant information.
**Client Satisfaction:**
– Maintain proper decorum, handle disgruntled patients effectively, and ensure patient confidentiality.
**Qualifications:**
– Education: Minimum High School or equivalent; Graduation preferred.
– Experience: Retail pharmacy or hospital setting preferred; experience in Qatar and male candidates preferred.
– Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmaceutical products and medical terminology is an advantage.
– Languages: Fluent in English; bilingual (Arabic) preferred.
– Skills: Proficiency in HIS system and Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
**Physical Effort and Work Environment:**
– Long periods of standing and walking in a fast-paced retail environment.
– Occasional evening and weekend work required.

– Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager.
