Job Description: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lab Technologist to join our team. The Lab Technologist will play a key role in performing various laboratory tests and analyses to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, and immunology.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and accurately record and report test results.
- Follow established protocols and quality control procedures to ensure the validity and integrity of laboratory data.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate and timely information for patient care.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and assist in ordering and restocking as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for staff and patients.
- Participate in training and continuing education activities to stay current with developments in laboratory techniques and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 05 of experience working as a Lab Technologist in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
- Valid certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in using laboratory information systems and computer software for data entry and analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Must be eligible for licensure by the Qatar Health Authority (QCHP).
