Reporting Structure: The role reports directly to the Director of Facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

The individual’s primary duty is to maintain the functionality of clinical equipment within the hospital premises by following a thorough Medical Equipment Management Plan.

 

A key aspect of the role involves conducting preventive maintenance on medical equipment strictly following manufacturer guidelines and hospital procedures. They will handle various tasks, including installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing biomedical equipment, showcasing independence and minimal need for supervision.

 

Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of equipment inventory to support effective management practices.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience (Hospital preferred)

 

Skills:

Proficiency in Biomedical Engineering

Familiarity with Best Practices in Biomedical Engineering

Competence in Calibration

Expertise in Equipment Maintenance

Knowledge of Healthcare Technology Trends

Understanding of Medical Equipment Systems

Experience with New Equipment Installations

Ability to conduct Preventive Maintenance Inspections

Awareness of Product Safety Regulations

Capable of developing and delivering Training sessions

Proficient in Troubleshooting

Ms. Wazne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the Lebanese American University in 2011 . She completed her Masters degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the Lebanese University. Ms. Wazne has worked at the American University of Beirut Medical Center for more than ten years. Ms. Wazne has given a variety of oral presentations to nurses, and pharmacists on local and national level . She has been certified from Harvard Medical School in Immuno-oncology and Cancer Genomics. She is an active member in the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon. Her professional interests include medication safety and research.

Scope of practice

Sirine Abou Al Hassan is a US. registered clinical dietitian with extensive experience in nutritional management of chronic and diet-related diseases. Previously, Sirine worked as clinical dietitian specialized in obesity weight management, Child and Maternal Health and Eating Disorders. She graduated from University College London with a masters of science in Clinical Nutrition and Eating Disorders; Following on from a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics-Coordinated Program from the American University of Beirut, both with distinction
